A&E COMEDY
Abigail and Emma write and perform as A&E Comedy. Their first show Enter the Dragons won Broadway Baby Bobby Best Show Brighton Fringe 2018. Their follow up show Witch Hunt was nominated for a second Broadway Baby Bobby and the Infallibles Award for theatrical excellence. They studied Scriptwriting for Film and Television at the University of Sussex and have gone on to write a number of scripts for television and film. Their script Invisible was shortlisted for the Screenshot Competition and their sitcom What Next won the prestigious Sitcom Mission Competition, and was optioned by Hat Trick Productions. Their short film Flaws has been entered for several festivals, and they have filmed a TV pilot for the comedy series Fleapit, created in collaboration with Spymonkey Theatre. They have written corporate training films for Video Arts, promoting ways to make the workplace menopause and period friendly.

Which is which? Abigail has hair like Beethoven while Emma has hair like a puppet. They live in Brighton and have collected one husband, five children and two dwarf hamsters.
Abigail Dooley
Abigail studied at East 15 drama school, Ecole Philippe Gaulier and ArtHaus Berlin. She also trained with Theatre de Complicite, Monika Pagneux, John Wright, Keith Johnstone and Jos Houben. As a performer/deviser she has created work with many companies including Compagnie Philippe Gaulier (End of the Tunnel), Trestle Theatre Company (Crime of Love, Running Dogs and The Soldier’s Tale), Told by an Idiot (La Mort du Client), Keith Johnstone (Micetro), The Gate Theatre (The Lovers) and Royal & Derngate’s stage adaption of Jacques Tati’s Playtime!, in which she played 30 characters. She directed the magic show “Norvil and Josephine” and “The Magic of Christmas” at the NEC, a live Christmas Event with five performance areas including street theatre, UV puppet show and a promenade pantomime. Specializing in devised theatre, she teaches at drama schools, universities and theatres, including The National Theatre, Rose Bruford, Mountview, ArtHaus Berlin and Middlesex University.
Emma Joy Edwards
Emma trained in clown at Ecole Philippe Gaulier, and has a Masters with Distinction in Comedy Writing from Falmouth University. As associate director of Get Lost and Found she creates interactive immersive experiences for a range of clients including The Roald Dahl Literary Estate and Camp Bestival. As artistic director of Facepack Theatre for over twenty years she created numerous shows with and for children and young people. She directed “Swings and Roundabouts” for Sophie Ross, “Peg in the Gallery” and "The Crab Prince” for Joanna Neary and “Mischief and Mystery in Moominvalley” a unique interactive puppet show, commissioned by Moomin Characters for The Southbank Imagine Festival. Specialising in script writing, clown and comedy she teaches at universities, drama schools and theatres including Theatre Royal Brighton and the The National Theatre..
